The Paisley Farmhouse

If you are a local crafter, artist, or maker of yummy treats and would be interested in hosting a booth at our Handmade Harvest, please contact shanda@paisleyfarmhouse.com. Tell us a little about you, your art/craft/treat, and attach a picture or two of your goods. Space is limited to about 20 vendors, and we want a nice variety so we can't accept every entry.

Email us your submission by August 24. We'll let you know by August 31 if you're in. There is a $35 entry fee required of all accepted applicants and 15% commission on all sales to cover advertising, promotions, credit card fees and outdoor music. All transactions (cash, credit cards, debit cards, and sales tax collection) will go through The Paisley Farmhouse checkout center. The event will take place on October 24th, 2009 in Birmingham Village shopping center (980 Birmingham Road, Milton, GA 30004).

Also, we would like to extend the invitation for groups and organizations to participate. For example, a youth group could accept cash donations for face painting or a pumpkin carving contest at the event! There is no entry fee for this type of booth. A Handmade Market - June 6th from 10am-7pm. Join us for our first craft fair in Birmingham Village. 20 artists are preparing their goods as we speak to dazzle you! Check our website often for info on this event. There will also be other events happening on the same day in the village... we’ll keep you posted.

Summer workshops and classes are in the works! Let us know if you have a skill that you’d enjoy teaching to others or if there’s a skill you’d like to learn.

Crafters & artists, this is a call for entries to join The Paisley Farmhouse at our first annual Handmade Market art and craft fair. Mark your calendars: Saturday, June 6th at the Birmingham Village Shopping Center (980 Birmingham Road, Milton, GA 30004).

During the day, all the shops in the village will be hosting fun activities! The Paisley Farmhouse’s activity will be the Handmade Market fair. Around 8:30, the shopping center will kick off the first of many summer evening “Movies Under the Stars”!

If you are a crafter or artist and would be interested in hosting a table at our outdoor daytime event, please contact shanda@paisleyfarmhouse.com. Tell us a little about you, your art/craft, and attach some pictures of your products. We are also interested in food vendors (jellies, candies, baked goods, and more). Space is limited to about 20 vendors, and we want a nice variety, so we cannot accept every entry. We don’t have much time, so we hope to hear from you soon!

This Saturday, April 4th at 1 pm bring the family to The Birmingham Village Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the shops! Weather permitting, the hunt will take place in the park area behind Subway. Kids only need to bring a smile and a basket to participate.
At The Paisley Farmhouse we will have light refreshments and a basket of eggs filled with same day savings! We have baskets for sale too. See you at the hunt!

March 20 and 21 we hosted our very first Spring Open House with no idea if it would be a success or a flop. We took a chance, and we’re so glad we did. It was a great success! People just kept coming in- new customers and old friends made it worth every hour and dollar spent preparing. We received lots of compliments on the new layout of the store as well as the new Spring selection. Because of the warm response, I believe we’ll have a Spring Open House every year!

Last week I visited my daughter in New York City. It was my first time ever to step foot there. It was during one of the coldest weeks yet. We attended the New York International Gift Fair, and to our surprise, we concluded that the Atlanta gift mart is much larger and busier during the shows. Who knew? We still made several exciting purchases which you will be seeing in the store soon and throughout the year!

Mark your calendars to join us for our 2nd Annual Christmas Open House. It will be happening November 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2008. Friday and Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 2pm-6pm.

Bring the whole family to trick-or-treat here at The Paisley Farmhouse and at some of the other shops here at Birmingham Village! It's happening until 8p.m. on Friday evening October 31st, 2008! We can't wait to see the wonderful costumes... who knows, maybe we'll dress up too!?!

The Milton Roundup was quite a success from what we could tell here at The Paisley Farmhouse on Saturday September 13th! The energy was high as families were having fun riding the horse and carriage. People were dropped off here at the Birmingham Village to enjoy the shopping and food. Dixie, an artist who sells original art here at the store, sat outside while folks watched her paint! It was a wonderful day!
